 Through silky
smooth production emerges a new textural blend of rhythm
and melody - a sound which seeks fusion in the purity of
techno and the warmth of deep house. The music of
Sunkissed, while retaining a unique style, pays tribute
to Detroit-influenced techno and to the progression of
electro-minimalism. In search of absolute expression,
this Canadian producer makes a valid contribution to the
current tech-house movement with his recent releases on
Woodwork (WOOD1201) (WOOD1203). While echoing
the sounds of legendary labels Plus 8 Records and Basic
Channel, Sunkissed radiates a unique perception of
thought provoking dance music, crafting a deep, soulful
groove that arouses both physical stimulation and a state
of inner reflection. Sunkissed has been cultivating his
sound over the last four years
playing club and party circuits as a live P.A. including
performances at Austria's Steirischer Herbst festival and
Peace Parade, as well as Trancendance, Fukhouse and other
Canadian events and festivals. Past Sunkissed releases
include a 12" on Definitive Records which features
an acid house A-side and an epic sounding ambient house
B-side which also appeared on "Utopia:The Big
Chill", a CD compilation on Basic Beat Records mixed
by the Dutch Ambient Federation. Upcoming Sunkissed
projects are sure to include further 12" releases on
Woodwork with a full length LIVE CD in progress. |
