which lay a unique sonic foundation. b1. beacon provides a deep warehouse groove featuring a chanting vocal sample offset by repetitive stabs of electrostatic noise. It builds over a deep house bass evolving into an onslaught of delicate synth chords which twist and echo into a smooth fade. a2. projection establishes a bouncy mechanical rhythm accented by dub synth stabs, and reverberant swells which hint at constant yet minimal movement that shifts the elements of time and space within the track. b1. ascent rises from a rolling tom pattern through multiple layers of crisp hi-hats, driven by a hard, repetitive bass line. Smooth rhythmic stabs open up into an infectious one-note melody. b2. aquamarine is an experimental take on deep house with an emphasis on sound placement and fluctuating spacial perception. A fragile rhythmic structure keeps the track on the edge falling apart as it floats through lush swells which slide in and out of the groove. |
