| The follow
up to Woodwork’s first release by Sunkissed showcase a deeply refined
approach to tech-house. These tracks immediately secure
the solid tech-house identity that is Woodwork. a1. spellbound is a tech-house love song that pumps its way straight to the heart. With pulsing rhythmic synths and a seamless bass-heavy groove, this track shakes the body while slowly infiltrating the soul. With a wash of filtered stabs and a stark organ groove, Spellbound grows around the subconscious and continues to build until it speaks directly to you with a sweet melody and soft vocal that says just about anything you are ready to hear. b1. wraparound takes minimalism for a nice ride through tech-house - stabbing its way forward, ever so slowly, but forcefully into a solid, funky groove that just begs the listener to sing along with the tonal rhythm. This track rings of prominent Sunkissed influences, notably G-man and Richie Hawtin, but swings naturally into Peter Grove’s own solid & original production sound. |
